Description
A WW1 canteen that is covered in green felt. There is beige canvas around the canteen so that the canteen could be carried on the shoulder of the soldier. The stopper for the canteen ix made from cork and has a metal plate at the top which has a circular screw attached. The screw goes through the stopped and has a metal nut at the end to keep the ring attache in place. The stopper is attached to the canteen by two pieces of twine that are twisted together. The canteen bottle is blue enamel. The wool covering would keep the water cool. The fasteners that hold the canvas in place were manufactured by United Carr Canada.
