Description

Carved wooden club - handle in the facsimile of a deer foot. Loose brown leather lace wrapped around the end of the handle where it meets the base of the club. Blunt end is rectangular shaped and angled/curved with carved indent directly below inscription and bulbous protrusion with indents on the surface.

Marks/Labels

Carved inscription in all capital letters located between leather wrapping and ends where bulbous protrusion begins: 
 "Presented to Prime Minister John Diefenbaker by the Indians of Walpole Island A.D. 4-6-63"
