Description
This block is a simple rectangle with a base color of yellow on the front of the block. There are 3 pieces of carved relief rising from the front of the block. The first is at the bottom in the shape of a long 90 degree triangle; the top of it is jagged. The second pice is near the middle, and it is almost in the shape of a square except for a small piece continuing up along the edge of the block. The bottom of the square is jagged just like the top of the wood triangle. The top piece covers the most surface area. It acts as an uneven border for the top half of the block. The left part or corner (above the square piece)has something like a triangle continuing from the corner of the border. The right corner has a square coming up from the corner of the border. The pieces of carved wood are a yellow color. The area around carved relief pieces are darker, and it gets lighter near the middle of the printing block. On the right side (part where thickness/height is measured) there is a label that has the previous temporary accession number. There is also tape on the back with "DAG 345" written on it. The word "yellow" is written in pencil on the back, along with the previous temporary accession number written in black marker.
