Description
Rectangular pictographic wood printing block. Front: the front is yellow with 4 different carvings into the wood of varying shapes and sizes. The first is a rectangle 5.0cm wide; it runs parallel to the left edge from the bottom of the board to the top. It is 2.5cm away from the left edge. The second carved design is 2 loops almost in the shape of a handwritten capital "L" in reverse, and is positioned to the right of the middle of the board. The approximate width of the letter is 11.0cm and the length is about 14cm. To the left of the "L" is a carved star; it is 4.0cm tall and 2.5cm wide. It is just over the top loop of the "L". The 4th carving begins in the shape of a banner, with two points at the end, 5.2cm from the right side arches into a 3.5cm long crooked triangle. The right edge of the triangle turns and continues towards the edge of the board. 3.0cm below the end of that first line it starts up again angling towards the bottom edge of the board with two uneven inward curves. The second has a small peak on its top. At the end of the second curve a 90 degree triangle emerges from the bottom edge 5.0cm tall and 3.6cm wide. The left side of the top banner-like carving continues on for about 20.0cm then vears quickly to the left with a slight decline for 5.0cm. It then moves to the right with a crooked incline for 5.2cm. From there it continues down in a straight line for the bottom edge of the printing block. Side: on the left side of the block there is a label with the previous temporary number written on it. There are also some red marks along the curve of the "P" carving and a blue dot near the bottom left edge of the first line carving Back: the back has one strip of paper stuck to the bottom portion. There is tape on the right side with "DAG 356" written on it. The previous temporary number is written in black marker on the left side of the wood.
