Description

Solid wood rectangle text printing block. Both top and bottom edge are shaved down with a circular chisel. Left side has 3 rectangle lines approximately 59.5cm wide by 7.0cm tall (long). Carved in the top line is the word "FURNITURE", second line "2nd HOUSE", third line "FURNISHINGS". All 3 lines are written backwards. Carved in a diagonally downwards sloping rectangle measuring 40cm by 23 cm, are the words "semi annual 'SALE'". Raised areas are stained brown and is also visible inside the letters and along the outer chiselled edges. "BOTTOM" is stamped in red on the back.
