Description
Solid wood block. Front: stained dark blue-black. At the bottom left hand corner is a space 22.3cm by 35cm which has now been cut away. The larger from the top edge measures 31cm by 8.5cm, and the smaller rectangle measures 23.6cm by 8.0cm. Running diagonally from the left corner edge to the upper right corner is a rectangle measuring 73.5cm by 14.2cm which is raised. Carved into this rectangle are scenes from a circus. Moving left to right are dancing horses in a ring, a track, performing elephants, a tight rope and a trapeze. In the bottom section are two carvings of the ring leader on the right and a monkey riding a bike on the left. Back:"BOTTOM" is stamped on the back in red. Marks on back from where rectangles have been cut out.
