Description

Solid rectangular wood block stained a dark brownish red colour on front. Block consists of one raised relief design like an upside down "7" defined by 2 chiseled sections. The relief design is rectangular on the bottom measuring 46cm long by 65.9cm wide. At the left corner of the rectangle the edge curves and then runs straight for about 35cm and stops 15cm from the top left corner. The top of the upside down "7" runs across the top edge for 35cm then runs down for approximately 28cm and then curves back to the middle and meets the rectangle about 22cm from the right edge. The chiseled sections have been carved in linear lines with "X" carved in. The top right section has 2 numbers engraved, a 5 and a 9 with a circle around it. Some blue stain is visible in the chiseled areas. Residual red and blue stain is on the back but otherwise it is a plain solid piece of wood.
