Description

Large rectangular wood blockand measuring 2.1 cm thick, 65.5 cm wide and 101.5 cm long. Front: stained dark red. Block has one raised relief section which curves from the top left to the bottom right. Top left edge of relief design is 45.5 cm long across the top, approximately 47 cm wide at the curve and 43.2 cm wide along the bottom right edge. Two recessed areas surround the curve and have varying direction of linear grooves. Red stain in the recessions is more prevalent at the edges of the curve. Sides: Residual red stain around the relief section. Back: Plain solid wood with residual stain, mostly red but with a few spots of blue. There are black marks that follow the pattern of the curve that is opposite on the front.
