Description
Solid wood block with a zinc plate attached to the front of the block. Front: Along the top the words "SWENSON THRILLCADE" have been engraved backwars. Below the "D" and the "E" are the words "FLEET OF FORDS" in smaller letters. Beside "fords" is a square cutout through both the zinc and the wood. Beneath "fleet of fords" and continuing right until it is under the "R" of "THRILLCADE" is an etching of a helmeted man in a 50's style convertible. Starting from the right side and ending under the grill of the convertible is the word "Supercharged", and then continuing in a column down the right side are "SUICIDE STUNTS BY WORLD FAMED" beneath this and stretching along the bottom in larger letters is "DAREDEVILS". In fine print underneath this is "NOTE: ALL THRILLCADE PERSONNAL PLEDGED TO COURTESY & SAFETY ON THE HIGHWAY". On the left hand side in a speech bubble 10.4cm wide and 16.6cm long are the words "Congress of MOVIE & TV STUNTMASTERS - CIRCUS HEADLINES - POLO CHAMPIONS - SPEEDWAY STARS - AND OTHERS WHO DEFY DEATH TO LIVE". Etched into the centre of the block, between the speech bubble and the right column of words are the etchings of a circus elephant and a dancing girl with a baton, standing on a raised platform. All etchings are blue tinged and the pictures have some linear grooves. The back is plain wood blocks that are beginning to separate and have a cut out in te top right corner.
