Description

Solid rectangular wood block. This block features 2 relief letters, an "N" and a "E" both backwards. The "N" is 24.5cm long and 16.9cm wide and the "E" is 20cm long and 16.9cm wide. The wood has been stained a dark brownish red, with the stain being more concentrated on th letters. Surrounding the letters, in the negative space, are circular groove marks in a lighter red stain. The "E" begins at the left edge then there is a 3.6cm space between the "E" and "N" and a 1.8cm space between the "N" and the right edge. In the top "V" of the "N" there is a spot of reddish orange stain. Edges: remnants of red, orange, green, brown, and blue stain. Back: residual stain and black ink marks.
