Description

Solid rectangular wood text block. Front: block is stained dark with "La RUE" in raised relief. Each letter is 9.5cm tall except for the "A" which is only 6.6cm tall. Surrounding the letters in the carved out negative space are visible chisel marks, circular in large spaces and linear in small spaces. The tops of each letter engle slight downwards to the right. Back: is covered in strips of paper; one across the top and bottom and 7 vertically on top of horizontal strips
