Description
Solid wood rectangular text and picture block. Front: stained blue. Board has been chiseled down with a circular tool, leaving raised designs. The first design is the outline of a women sitting on an elephant's head and measures 17.5cm at the widest point and 24.5cm at the longest point. To the right of the elephant is the outline of the clown, with more details on the balloons and clothes of his outfit. The balloons show 4 semi-circles around an indented circle, to the right is a detail of his face, then along the bottom is the detail of his collar, cuff, and 8 circles for his shirt design. Across the top and right side is the raised outline for the word "CIRCUS". The "C" occupies the right entire right side, and beginning inside the "C" is the "I" followed by the rest of the letters gradually decreasing size . The final detail is raised circles (7); 2 in the top right corner, 2 above the "R", 2 below the "R", and one below the "U". Sides: residual stain and black grainy marks Back: paper glued all across the back, 2 hangers in the top corners. Small piece of paper/tape with "12" written in red ink, to the left of the hanger in the top right corner.
