Description
**PICTURE BLOCK** T&G technique used to join the wood together. Front: Rectangular wood block stained red. The majority of the surface is recessed, and the relief sections serve as fillers for sections of the images outline in block 2015.139a. There is a 3.6cm x 3.0cm pompom on the top edge 14.9cm in from the left edge. Below there are relief pieces that resemble a face. These are the pieces that fill in the cheeks, tip of the nose, lips, tip of the chin and eye marks of the clown face outline in the previous block. There are 4 raised section of relief wavy lines of varying lengths that line the ruffles of the clown's collar. Below this are 2 relief slight curves. The fill in the border of the 2 circles on top of the two towers that are outlined in the previous block. The bottom section is an elaborate scene of a fair (in the finished product). The relief sections of this block in the bottom area fill the outlines of the strips of tents, borders of tall stand (top left area), and borders of the sides of tents. Sides: there is a label on the top side with the previous temporary number written on it. Back:There is a strip of masking tape with "DAG 292" wrtitten on it in red ink. "no. 921" is stamped on the back middle in black ink. "Red" is handwritten in pencil across the middle.
