Description
*Background/ Accent block* Tongue and grooce rectangular wood block. Front: Block has mostly been recessed using a circular headed tool leaving relief wood to create borders. Starting at the top is a relief border (1cm thick) measuring 3.7cm down the right and left sides from top corners and is 33cm wide across the top edge (The border at the bottom mimics these exact measurments). The middle relief section is much more detailed beginning 12cm up both the right and left bottom corners. Rising 4 cm up, then horizontal (from right) for 13.8cm then curves up and over where the semi-circle is on 2015.1.157c and then moves horizontal again for 1.6cm to meet the left side border (also risen 4cm). Above these 4cm rises is a rectangle approximately 33cm wide by 23.8cm long with 2 cutouts: 1 for the previously mentioned semi-circle (15.5cm wide by 7cm long) and the 2nd is a rectangular like shape on a diagonal with tons of little triangles shooting out. This shape occupies an area 31.5cm wide by 16cm long. All corners of this shape are covered. Block has been stained red and is more concentrated on the relief sections. Sides: Black visible within the wood grain. Residual red stain near the front edge Back: "Red" has been handwritten in pencil on the back in the center and underlined. Residual stain is concentrated around the outer edges. 6cm up from the bottom edge in the left corner is a very faint stamp reading "KING SHOW".
