Description
*Filler Block* fourth block in a 4 part series. Tongue and groove rectangular wood block. Front: Block front has been stained yellow and can be separated into 3 sections: 1) Rectangular relief shape 32.5cm wide by 11.5cm long, where the word "FAIR" from previous block (166b&c) would be printed. 2) Recessed section where 2 rectangles make a recessed shape. The first rectangle is 32.5cm wide by 20.3cm long, with the second rectangle extending down at 6cm from the left and 5.5cm from the right to measure 20.4cm wide by 4.1cm long. 3) Almost the opposite of the second section. Done in relief block, and it measures 32.5cm wide by 20.6cm long--except for the recessed (2nd) rectangle (20.4cm wide by 4.1cm long) which has been recessed from this bottom section still 6cm from the left and 5.5cm from the right edge. Yellow stain is more concentrated on the top and bottom relief sections. Sides: plain wood with dark ink stains in the wood grain and residual yellow stain near the block front. Back: Strip of brown paper has been glued to the top and a second strip down the left side extending 16.6cm down from the top left corner. Dark ink stains in the wood grain. Bottom right corner has a 4.5cm long (horizontal) cut 5.2cm up from the bottom edge.

;"Yellow is handwritten in the center on the back. "Bottom" has been stamped in red in the bottom right corner. "No. 42" has been stamped in black to the right of "yellow". These are all on the back of the block.
