Description

*Picture Block* Rectangular tongue and groove joined wood block. Front: Stained blue--top half is relief wood with recessed design and the bottom half is recessed with a circular chisel with a relief border. Relief border is 0.9cm thick covering 48.3cm across the bottom edge and 33.1cm up the left and right sides. Top half features a recessed design of two runners on the left 16cm wide by 23cm long, a diamond with a ball player in the center to the right of the runners measuring 19.3cm wide by 21.7cm long, and two soccer players to the right of the diamond 23.2cm wide by 23.4cm long. All measurements of designs are at the widest and longest points--slight overlap of these occurs. Stain is concentrated on the relief wood. Sides: Plain wood with residual ink near the stained front edges and in the wood grain. Back: Plain wood with three ink stains across the center of the block. Ink stains in the wood grain as well.
