Description
*Background Block* Rectangular tongue and groove wood block. Front: Stained a combo of green (top 11cm) then fades (gradient) to yellow. Most of this block is relief wood with three recessed designs: (1) Along the bottom edge is a line of recessed leaves (14), 7 leaning to the left edge and 7 leaning to the right with the center two forming a "V" shape. Each leaf is 0.8cm long by 0.5cm wide. (2) 3.5cm above the bottom edge and 9cm from the left edge is the center bottom point of a recessed circle with a diameter of 13cm wide. (3) Top recessed design is a plus (+) sign shape leaning diagonally down and right. Essentially made of two overlapping rectangles (one horizontal and one vertical). Horizontal rectangle begins 3.5cm from the left edge and 2.3cm from the top edge and measures 29.2cm wide by 10.5cm long. Vertical rectangle begins 2.3cm from the top edge and 13.2cm from the left edge and measures 10.3cm wide by 14.3cm long. Ink stain is concentrated on the relief areas. Sides: Residual ink stains near the front edges and in the wood grains, otherwise plain wood. Back: Residual ink stains around the outer edges and in the wood grains, otherwise plain wood. Top half appears slightly darker possibly due to green ink stain on the front.
