Description

Moveable typeface Tongue and groove joined rectangular wood block. Block 4 in an 8-part moveable typeface 16-½ inch number series. Front: Originally stained red/blue-now faded to a reddish brown. Block's main feature is a relief wood backwards "4", occupying almost the entire block. Recessed wood is used to define the number. Sides: Stained dark with residual red ink stains near the relief wood edges (mostly on the top and bottom). Back: Dark ink stains in the wood grain as well as the outer edges. Residual spots of red and blue ink stains along the bottom and middle sections.
