Description

Moveable typeface Tongue and groove joined rectangular wood block. Part 9 of a 9 block 11 ½ inch tall moveable typeface number series. Front: Stained red-relief wood reddish brown and recessed wood is red. Main feature is relief wood in the shape of a "6" or "9" depending on view point. Sides: Appears to have been stained red as well. Residual bright red stain near the front edges. Back: Stained reddish-brown. At one point may have been used as part of another block. Letters have been recessed-two "L"s at the top, but the bottom letters are indistinguishable. (Possibly a "G" and an "O").
