Description
Rectangular wood block with a carved relief of the number "2". The relief's surface is stained with dark burgundy ink. The surface of the non-relief is stained with patches of red, blue and burgundy ink. The old accession number is written on the bottom edge in Sharpe and on a sticker. And the surface of the relief appears to be polished or buffed. On the sections of the relief the grain and colour of the wood is evident as if the ink has been polished or buffed off. On the back the edges/sides are stained with dark red and black ink. There are smudges and strokes of dark blue, dark red, bright red and black ink. There are also vertical and horizontal faded black lines in the middle section.
