Description

It is a rectangular wood block with a carved relief of the number "1" backwards. The surface is stained with burgundy ink. The surface of the relief appears to be polished or buffed and in areas the colour and grain of the wood is evident as if buffed or worn off. Old accession number is written on the bottom edge in sharpie and on a sticker. The edges and sides are stained with red and black ink with smudges and strokes of white, bright red, black and dark red ink. Horizontal and vertical faded lines are also evident.
