It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of a zero (or less likely the letter "o"). The surface of the relief is stained dull orange with black scratches and marks of black and red ink. It appears to be carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. The carved down portion is dark red and has a buildup of dirt around the edges.
