Description
It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "8". The surface of the relief is stained light orange with marks of dark brown and red ink and small black scratches. The carved down portion is burgundy but is beginning to chip off on the top left corner. The front surface appears to be varnished or buffed and is likely carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. There is a buildup of dirt around the edges of the "8". The back is marked with black and red ink. It also had raised horizontal curved lines across the entire surface.
