Artifact

Accession Number:

Date

Description
It is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "A". The relief appears to be varnished and is dark brown/purple. On the bottom right of the relief it appears someone began to sand the varnish off. The carved down portion is a dull dark purple and has a layer of dirt. The back is dark red and burgundy. The back must have been part of another block at one point as it has cut off carved letters. The first line has "ASK" and the second line is cutoff but the readable letters are "HAYM". There is also a few remnants of ripped off glued paper.
