It is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "C". Half of the relief is varnished and dark red. On the other half the varnish has be sanded off and is coloured a dull red. The carved down portion is a dark red. The back innerly marked with black, brown and red ink. The bottom edge is chipped.
