It is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "T". 3/4 of the relief is dark brown and varnished. On the other 1/4 the varnish has been sanded off and is a dull brown. The carved down portion is pitted and is brown and dark blue. The bottom left corner is missing and appears to have been cut off. There is no old accession number on the block in any form. The back is stained with black, blue, red and green ink. The top and bottom edges are extensively chipped. Materials
