It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "D". The left side is cleanly chipped or carved off (like 2018.1.67c). The relief is varnished and is light orange with patches of red. The carved down portion is dark Burgundy. The back is discoloured and marked with dark red and black ink. Materials
