It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "L" backwards. The relief is varnished and is black with patches of light brown/ orange. The carved down portion is dark red. The back is discoloured/ stained and has a small faded patches of black and red ink. Has carved raised lines across surface. Materials
