It is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the number "8" (movable typeface). The surface appears to be varnished or stained. The relief is dark red, black and the grain of the wood is visible. The carved down portion is dark red, pitted and covered in a layer of dust. The back is a stained a combination of red, Burgundy and black. ;Materials
