It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "A". The relief appears to be varnished or stained and is auburn, red and dark brown. The carved down portion is dark red and black. The back is stained and discoloured with dirt and is marked with black and dark red ink. Has curved raised lines across surface. Materials
