It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "H" (movable typeface). The relief is black and dark red. The carved down portion is dark red with patches of black. The surface is covered in a thin layer of dust. The back is discoloured with black ink. Has raised curved lines across surface. Materials
