Description
This piece shows King's creative process. On the cardstock King or a member of his team has mapped out the outline of a poster on Wilf Carter (a country singer/performer) in pencil. A copy of the final printed poster was in Theresa Fuhr's collection as of January 2019. In addition to the text written in pencil, there are also notes and corrections also written on the paper. This includes check marks, exes by specific sections of text. There also is numbers circled through the piece (possibly measurements) and tiny circled notes that are unreadable. Additionally, there are pieces of the tape or early versions of white out strips on the front surface. Perhaps it was used to cover changes/mistakes as text is written on one of the strips. There is also faint remnants of erased words. On the edges faint black ink marks, marks of dirk and yellowing of the paper is evident. The back is unmarked and the fold crease is also visible on the back. This piece is valuable in a academic sense as it shows King's planning process.
