It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "3" backwards (movable typeface). The original coat is still slightly evident and the grain of the wood is slightly evident in some areas. The relief is deep red with three medium patched of black pigment. The carved down portion is a matte red and the colour is not as saturated. The surface is rough in areas. The back is discoloured and marked with smudges and droplets of dark blue and red pigment.
