Description

It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "S" (movable typeface). The surface is smooth as the original coat of varnish is still evident. The relief is darker light orange with dark scratches. The carved down portion is matte red and black. The back is discoloured and marked with Burgundy and black pigment. The old accession number is written in permanent marker on the back surface.
