Description
It is a rectangular (almost square) block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "O" or the number zero (movable typeface). The relief is glossy/smooth as the original coat of varnish is still evident. The relief is a burnt orange with patches of red and brown pigment. The carved down portion is matte dark red. The back is completely covered in vary saturation with black, red and brown pigment which has naturally darkened with time and use. The old accession number is also written n the back in permanent marker.
