Description

It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "2" backwards (movable typeface). The relief surface is glossy/smooth as the original coat of varnish is still evident. The relief is a light orange with droplet of red pigment and dark lines/scratches on the relief surface. The carved down portion is a matte dark red. The back is entirely covered in black, red and brown pigment that has naturally darkened with time and use. The old accession number is also written on the back in permanent marker.
