It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "C" (movable typeface). The pigment has naturally darkened and the original coat of varnish is evident. The relief is orange, orange/red and auburn. The carved down portion is dark red and black. The back is discoloured and marked with brown and red pigment. Has horizontal curved lines across surface.
