Description
it is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "J" backwards (movable;e typeface). The surface is glossy/smooth as the original coat of varnish is still evident. The pigment has naturally darkened with age/use. The relief is a deep purple, green and carved down portion is deep red/purple with specks of red pigment. The back appears to have been part of another block of wood due to carved lines and letters. 1cm and 2cm wide lines and the letters "ODIES" backwards. The relief/ negative space is Burgundy and black.
