Description
it is a square block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "F" backwards (movable typeface). The relief surface is glossy/smooth as the original coat of varnish is still evident. the pigment has naturally darkened with age and use. The relief is dark burgundy and dark blue. The carved down portion is dark red, brown and the carving marks/dents are evident. The back appears to have been part of another black as there are carved letters. the first line "YS" and "THAT" backwards. The relief/negative space is rust red and dark blue.
