Carlo Amantea (b. 1954 Cosenza Italy) is a Canadian abstract painter that primarily focuses on free expression of emotion through the strategic uses of colour within his works. He was an assistant to Joseph Drapell and learned from his artistic practice. Amantea has showcased his work throughout Canada and internationally including the 13th Street Gallery, St. Catherine’s Ontario (2021, 2022, 2023); Margin Alexander Collaboration, New York (2021); Don Stewart Gallery, Toronto (1982); and the Evelyn Aimis Fine Art, Toronto, (1983, 1984, 1986, 1987).
