Jimmy Inaruli Arnamissak (b. 1946 Cape Smith NU, d. 2003) was an Inuit sculptor who primarily created carvings surrounding themes of community life in the arctic, and northern wildlife. He began carving at the age of fourteen to help financially support his family. His works have been exhibited throughout Canada and internationally including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Winnipeg MB (1976, 1977, 1988, 1990,1998, 2000, 2010); Musée du Quebec, Quebec City QC (1966, 1979, 1980, 1982, 2006); Spirit Wrestler Gallery, Vancouver BC (2002); The National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa ON (1998); The Arctic Circle, Los Angeles CA (1984); Douai at Galerie des Tanneurs, Mulhouse France (1988); and at the Canada Trade Centre in Tokyo, Japan (1984).
