James Charles Armytage (b.1802 London UK, d.1897 London UK) was an English engraver and painter. Throughout his artistic career Armytage would create over 200 plates depicting a broad range of portraiture, narrative, harbour, and landscape scenes. His works are within the collections of museums and galleries internationally including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Queensland Art Gallery, the British Museum, and the Cincinnati Art Museum.
