Patrick Amos (b. 1957 Nootka Island BC) is an Indigenous Canadian artist who is a part of the Mowachaht Band of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nation. He primarily creates prints and carvings which incorporate storytelling, tradition, and ceremony while also pulling influence from the lush landscapes of Vancouver. Amos was an apprentice to Tony Hunt Sr. at the Raven Gallery BC (1976), and Tim Paul at the Royal British Columbia Museum (1979). His artwork has been featured throughout Canada including the Gallery Indigena, Stratford, ON (1991); The Royal British Columbia Museum, Victoria, BC (1984); McMaster Museum of Art, Hamilton ON (2022); and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Victoria BC (2017, 2021). He has also taught classes at the Duquiaht Art School in Uclulet BC and assisted with creating large installation mural works.
