David Alexander

David Alexander (b. 1947 Vancouver BC) is a Canadian artist who primarily creates drawings and paintings of abstracted remote landscapes. He studied at the Vancouver Art School of Art Extension (1967-1970), Langara College (1971-1972), Notre Dame University (1975-1978) receiving a BFA, and the University of Saskatchewan (1981-1983) receiving an MFA. His work has been exhibited throughout Canada and internationally including the Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (1985,1986); Kelowna Art Gallery, Kelowna, British Columbia (1996); Elca London Art Gallery, Montreal, Quebec (1984); Editions, Basel, Switzerland (1991); Los Angeles Art Fair, Los Angeles, California (1989); Chicago Art Fair, Chicago, Illinois (1985, 1986); Art First, London, England (1994); and the Hafnarborg Institute of Fine Arts, Iceland (2002).
