Melvyn Malkin

Melvyn Malkin is an artist and architect living in Saskatoon. He spent many years studying in other centres, returning to Saskatoon in 1964 to open his own Architectural office. He has a degree in Architecture (Manitoba) and post-graduate study in design at the University of Pennsylvania and a Fine Arts degree (Saskatoon) in drawing and printmaking. While practising architecture he indulged his interest in ceramics and developed techniques to make, glaze and fire raku fired wall plates and eventually worked in this area full time. His work is shown across Canada. His work is included in collections of the Mendel Art Gallery, University of Saskatchewan, MacKenzie Art Gallery numerous other public and private collections.
