Ruth Annaqtussi Tulurialik

Ruth Annaqtussi Tulurialik (b.1934 Kazan River area NT) is an Inuit artist who is primarily known for her vibrant drawings and prints depicting aspects of Inuit culture and tradition. Annaqtussi Tulurialik began her artistic practice in the mid 1960’s learning from artist Jessie Oonark. Her works have been exhibited throughout Canada and internationally including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Winnipeg MB (1972, 1973, 1974, 1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1988); Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto ON (1976); General Assembly Building at the United Nations, New York NY (1983); Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, Montreal QC (1980); Gallery 100 Hudson, New York NY (1988); Art Space Gallery, Philadelphia PA (1990); and the Bunkamura Art Gallery, Tokyo Japan (1991). She currently lives in Baker Lake, Nunavut.
