Dressmaker's Iron - This flat iron was used by my grandmother Mrs. A. G. Olson in her dress making. She was an accomplished seamstress when she came to the Ohlan area in 1890. She did much of her sewing for people in the Whitewood Area, commuting there on. This small iron with the checkered base was used to press frills on the ladies dresses.
