The Sweetgrass Ceremonial Ring is recognized as the first of its kind globally. The piece was 3D printed by Aaron Dobroskay through ADA Architecture, and hand-painted by Indigenous artist, Kevin Pee-Ace. The artist used 5 distinct shades of green to achieve a realistic and textured portrayal of the Sweetgrass braid. The ceremonial ring was purposefully designed for the wahkohtowin boardroom in the Good Medicine People space. Sweetgrass was chosen for its special significance, as it is a sacred medicine that can be used by women during menstruation, underscoring the inclusion and vital role of matriarchs in ceremony. ~root~>
