SaskCollections was developed to serve participating museums in two collections related activities.
First, to provide small to medium sized museums with an easy to navigate, user-friendly, extremely inexpensive, online collections management system that helps museums successfully manage the information they have on their collections.
Second, to provide participating museums with this website where they can share their collections. Enabling digital access to collections enhances the ability of participating museums to share their community’s living heritage with as wide an audience as possible, regardless of limitations of location, hours of operations or physical space.
By helping organize, preserve, and share Saskatchewan’s heritage, SaskCollections serves the people of Saskatchewan and enhances museum practice.
