Obverse features image of seated man in a toga facing right holding an unmarked marble slab, there is a naked and winged youth holding a staff and holding up a plant branch, in the background facade of a Roman temple. Symbol of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Reverse features text. Medal is attached to red ribbon by brass metal hook. Red ribbon has gold trim on the front and is closed by a metal hook at the top.
